About
Artist statement
I'm drawn to the details most people pass over: the way light settles on a surface, the structure under skin, the small shifts in tone that make a form feel real. Most of my work starts in pencil and moves to paint on canvas.
Medical illustration lets me bring that close observation together with an interest in science, and graphic design and photography keep me thinking about composition and how an image communicates. I'm applying to undergraduate art and design programs to keep building on all of it.
